A Proposal
Will you be, young lady,
My partner for life?
Whatever you say, I'm ready
Be a friend, and my wife?
Shall we dance? - Your arms round my collar.
It won't look that absurd, though you are taller.
If I'm unable to carry you in arms, no ill.
For I'll kiss you, make love ardent, and we'll still
Make the heavenliest of life.
And I won't insist you do any tedious stuff I like.
Not even (if be) read fat books I myself write!..
Just little you try, little I, alright.
Love's a path reaching summits of existence
I propose you, young lady; shall we unite and walk distance?
My partner for life?
Whatever you say, I'm ready
Be a friend, and my wife?
Shall we dance? - Your arms round my collar.
It won't look that absurd, though you are taller.
If I'm unable to carry you in arms, no ill.
For I'll kiss you, make love ardent, and we'll still
Make the heavenliest of life.
