Man of Principles

They made him do what he sternly disliked
They urged him respect those he hated
They took away things he loved...
His ways they scoffed,
His interests they jeered at
Torn to tatters his dreams
They denied all his good wishes
They constrained him abandon his love
They spread darkness...all darkness
In his life
Those fools were none others
But his relations, the bosomest ones...
He despised relations...
A ghastly curse on the wise being!

He killed himself, of late
No wonder!
He was a man of principles
